Crime of the century

I was listening to this in the car today, and I wondered to myself after really paying attention to the lyrics, how did they know about George Bush back in 1974?

Now they're planning the crime of the century
Well what will it be?
Read all about their schemes and adventuring
It's well worth a fee
So roll up and see
How they rape the universe
How they've gone from bad to worse
Who are these men of lust, greed, and glory?
Rip off the masks and let's see.
But that's not right - oh no, what's the story?
There's you and there's me
That can't be right

Apart from that though, I love the haunting melody at the end of the song..

  1. This made me think of when I got my first car, the chevy nova (no go). While there was no GWB in 1974 his predecessor, Richie Nixon, shared many of the same ideals.

  2. "I am not a thief!"

My first car was a '72 Ford (found on road dead) Capri (Capri est fini!). I wasn't too impressed with having to replace the clutch and the brakes in the first two months of owning it but for a 7 year old car, it was in pretty good shape.

Leave me some grey matter.
